I let her emotions run cold...
Love for her I never told.
She lost her warmth for me...
pure and precious was her love for me.

Lord I have sinned...
I showed no affection when she cared.
I carelessly broke her trust...
suffer the pain in solitude I must...

At an eternity of damnation I stare...
the self pity and contempt I can't bear.
I never showed how much I care...
Even when I knew for me she's there.

Now lonely nights is all I can foresee...
my every breath brings more pain to me.
My days are gloomy and full of despair...
the will to live no longer there.

There I am, at the hilltop, staring at the night sky
Feeling ever more alive as the time goes by

A feeling of joy, that I felt was dead
My troubles and worries cast away
