A late starry night

Sands of time slither away...

I'm still wide eyed as day.

Flashes of times gone by come my way...

smiles and tears that refuse to go away.

Or is it the fear of future or unknown I can't say...

myriads of thoughts that just don't let me stay.

The answers I seek now I can't seem to find...

is it in my times ahead or in my days behind.

Sands of time slither away...

The rain gods come roaring to play...
thundering to turn this night to day.
A few moments more I like to stay...
listening to your tears drop away.

A parched earth smiles...
as it gladly drinks it's share.
Souls out for fun without care...
As sweet smell of soil fills the air.
