Naive I was to fall in love

Mistake it was to not avow

Now it is too late to rue

One can't profess love on cue

Now that you have gone far away

I'm left pining for you every day

I always knew it was never meant to be

Why my heart fell for you is a mystery

Now I spend all day thinking of you

Your face young like morning dew

That beautiful smile that made time stand still

Sweet voice spreading warmth in morning chill

Fortunate I am to have known you

My feelings, Oh I wish you knew

I know you'll never be with me

Hurt is my heart, want to set it free

Time to move on, not to be sad and weary

For you will forever remain a sweet memory

A Prayer..

O Lord... be true
What in life is that I am to look for
The signs they say are far and few
Tell me what is that I should live for
For I don't have a clue

What makes a being merry and still
Joy of love or wealth chest one wishes to fill
Is happiness all that we should pursue
Is there more to life known only to few

O Lord... be true
What is that You want me to be
What is that You want me to see
Tell me for why I am here
For loss of faith is what I fear

Many are my worries, but I still cheer
I know for sure You're always near
Mistakes will be made at every turn
These are just ways You make me learn

O Lord... now I realize what I always knew

A knowledge that is not privy to few

There is only one thing in this world that is true

That is You my Lord and only You.
